Maja Milanovic is a filmmaker and screenwriter born in Yugoslavia who lived in New York for twenty five years before moving to Stockholm with her family. After receiving her MFA at NYU in Dramatic Writing, she wrote the screenplay for the short film “Veta” that received the Special Mention by the Jury Award at the Berlin Film Festival and brought her also to Stockholm for the first time as a guest of the film festival. She continued writing for film and TV, and worked on international coproductions as an assistant director and line producer. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a director with directing her two shorts, "Chateau Rosaline 1937," and her award winning film "Welcome" that went to over 15 world film festivals. She has just written a short screenplay for a film titled "Where The Old Trees Grow," that she will direct in Sweden. For more info about Maja's work, please visit:
