Filmbasen is an incubator and a platform for young Swedish filmmakers from the region of Stockholm-Mälardalen. Our main focus is short films and documentaries.

Each year Filmbasen offers founding to a number of interesting film projects. We finance film projects from the region of Stockholm-Mälardalen and mainly by people below the age of 30. We normally give a maximum of 25 000 SEK to a production. Please read our application form (in Swedish) or contact us for more information.

Filmbasen also provides film technique and coaching for young filmmakers who want to produce a film for screen or TV. Each semester we offer professional and semi-professional courses in various aspects of filmmaking.

The talent program is a one year program where coaches from Filmbasen support and encourage young and particularly talented and upcoming film makers to take further steps in their profession and career.
